Texas Licensed Insurance Broker Synopsis/RFQ Solicitation Notice 320-15-2403

The Rural Capital Area Workforce Development Board, Inc. d.b.a. Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area (WSRCA) Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area is posting a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 320-15-2403 for Commercial insurance Broker Services Thursday, July 11, 2024. The proposals are due Thursday, July 25, 2024, 11:59 PM, page 8 provides the procurement schedule.

Purpose: WSRCA is seeking responses from Insurance Brokers licensed in the State of Texas to include minority, disadvantaged, veteran and/or women-owned businesses that are certified by the State as Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) to accurately assess WSRCA’s risk exposure and to assist in analysis of insurance options that provide adequate coverage. The selected broker will aid with the selection of a variety of insurance lines to include General Liability, Professional Liability, Workers Compensation, Property, and Directors & Officers Liability.

Contract Period: The estimated contract start date is on or about August 1, 2024 – July 31, 2025. WSRCA reserves the option to renew the contract on an annual basis, or lesser period for a total contract term not to exceed five consecutive years total.

Funding: Funding is not provided by WSRCA under this RFQ. It is intended that the brokers selected will receive a fee for their insurance brokerage services based on the amount of insurance products they broker for WSRCA. The broker’s fee will be paid by the companies offering services to the WSRCA.

Background on WSRCA: WSRCA is a certified local workforce development board serving Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Fayette, Lee, Llano, and Williamson Counties and is incorporated as a 501(C)(3) private, on-profit organization. It is the grant recipient and administrative entity for specified federal and state programs. WSRCA has responsibility for planning, administration, and oversight of employment, training, and subsidized childcare programs.
