CEDAR PARK, Texas — Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area (WSRCA), the nonprofit community partnership delivering innovative and sustainable workforce development solutions to empower the nine-county Rural Capital Area of Central Texas, has announced the addition of Gwen Snyder as Director of Child Care and Early Learning and Gardenia Strong as Child Care and Early Learning Specialist.
Gwen Snyder brings a strong background in education, sales, and policy support, with extensive experience in early childhood programs and the Child Care Scholarship Program. She has worked closely with the Texas Workforce Commission, boards, and contractors to expand access to quality care for families across Texas. Passionate about early childhood education and brain development from birth to age five, Gwen will lead WSRCA’s Child Care and Early Learning team to expand provider support, strengthen partnerships, and align programs with business development, workforce initiatives, and communications efforts.
Gardenia Strong joins WSRCA with a background in program management, fundraising, and nonprofit leadership, having served as Senior Fundraising Manager for the Greater Austin YMCA and Program Manager for Power for Parkinson’s. Committed to equity and creating opportunities for children and families, Gardenia will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of child care contracts to ensure high-quality outcomes while supporting the integrated delivery of early learning, workforce development, and community services across the region.
