Skill-Based Career Progression Lattices

The Skill-Based Career Progression Lattices are designed to visibly highlight strategic career mobility and the importance of a skilled workforce.

Many workers seeking career enhancement struggle to identify personalized pathways toward their goals. Unlike a traditional stair-step career ladder, a career lattice allows lateral or even downward movement—reflecting today’s dynamic work life—while reinforcing upward mobility through upskilling. See where you are now and what it takes to reach your career goals. Explore the Skill-Based Career Progression Lattices ▸

Example Lattice Occupations:

Carpenter Helper • Childcare Worker • Computer Network Support Specialist • Construction Laborer • Data Entry Keyer • Desktop Publisher • Electrical/Electronic Equipment Assembler • Electrician Helper • Extraction Worker Helper • File Clerk • Home Health Aide • Hotel Desk Clerk • Light Truck Driver • Medical Assistant • Medical Equipment Preparer • Personal Care Aide • Secretary/Administrative Assistant • Semiconductor Processing Technician • Team Assembler • Tire Repairer & Changer • Vehicle & Equipment Cleaner

REINVEST is an initiative to bolster workforce opportunities in rural communities. It will enable seven rural counties — Burnet, Blanco, Llano, Bastrop, Caldwell, Fayette, and Lee — to create high-quality jobs for 777 workers through partnerships in Healthcare, Skilled Trades, Finance, and IT.

Population growth and service demand are rising, while employers struggle to hire and rural workers face barriers to training access. REINVEST addresses these challenges by recruiting, training, and placing workers into high-quality jobs.

Program Eligibility:

  • 18 years or older
  • U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Registered for Selective Service (males only)
