Honoring Service and Building Opportunity: The 14th Annual Hiring Red, White & You! Event
Every November, around Veterans Day, the State of Texas comes together to say thank you in a way that truly matters. The 14th Annual Hiring Red, White & You! statewide veterans hiring event isn’t just a job fair. It’s a celebration of service and a chance to help veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses connect with employers who appreciate the leadership and skills they bring to the workplace.
Here at Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area (WSRCA), we’re proud to host this impactful event once again through dual events representing all the communities we serve. For 14 years, our team has worked alongside the Texas Workforce Commission, the Office of the Governor, the Texas Veterans Commission, and the Texas Medical Center to honor those who’ve served by helping them take the next step in their civilian careers.
More Than a Job Fair
Hiring Red, White & You! is about more than landing a job. It’s about building bridges between military experience and civilian opportunity. Veterans bring leadership, discipline, problem-solving, and teamwork to every role they take on. They understand accountability, mission focus, and adaptability; qualities that strengthen any organization.
Our teams and partners are dedicated to helping veterans translate their military experience into career pathways that fit their skills and goals. Through personalized career coaching, training in high-demand industries, and direct connections with veteran-friendly employers, we’re helping service members and their families successfully transition into the civilian workforce.
Since it began in 2012, Hiring Red, White & You! has connected more than 137,000 job seekers, including over 47,000 veterans, with more than 24,000 employers statewide, resulting in over 3,400 same-day hires. Those numbers represent real lives changed and real communities strengthened.
