Meet Our Summer Marketing & Communications Intern: Caelyn Swendner
Posted by: Berenice Lopez
Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area (WSRCA) is excited to welcome Caelyn Swendner as our Summer Marketing & Communications Storytelling Intern through the Texas Workforce Solutions – Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VR) program.
A proud Austin native, Caelyn graduated from Westwood High School in 2024 and is currently studying Communication at Texas State University. With a passion for storytelling, media, and creative communication, she is eager to gain hands-on experience while exploring career opportunities in public relations, marketing, and communications.
During her internship, Caelyn will support WSRCA's Marketing and Communications team by helping tell the stories that showcase the impact of workforce development throughout our nine-county region. Her work will focus on highlighting the people, programs, partnerships, and success stories that help connect job seekers, students, and employers to opportunities that strengthen our local communities.
One of the primary goals of the Storytelling Internship is to help students gain real-world experience while contributing meaningful work that serves the community. Through interviews, writing projects, campaign support, and content development, interns have the opportunity to build professional skills, develop a portfolio of work, and gain a deeper understanding of workforce development and public service communications.
Outside of school and work, Caelyn enjoys film, live music, spending time outdoors, and exploring Austin with friends. She brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong interest in collaborative storytelling to the WSRCA team.
Please join us in welcoming Caelyn to Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area. We look forward to supporting her professional growth and seeing the contributions she makes throughout the summer.
