Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area Announces Rachel Sotelo as Career Coach

CEDAR PARK, Texas ⎯ Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area (WSRCA), the nonprofit community partnership delivering innovative and sustainable workforce development solutions to empower the nine-county Rural Capital Area of Central Texas, has announced that Rachel Sotelo as a Career Coach.

With 29 years of experience in education, Rachel has held roles as a business teacher, athletic coach, Career and Technical Education (CTE) department chair, CTE specialist, and CTE and College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) coordinator across Marfa, Round Rock, Hays, and Lockhart ISDs. Rachel earned her bachelor's degree in business education from Sul Ross State University in Alpine and a master's degree in educational leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington. Beyond her educational roles, she serves as a Director with the Caldwell County Fair Association and is a member of the Lockhart Evening Lions Association.

“We are excited to have Rachel join the team. Her CTE experience is such an asset and will help us develop programming to support student career exploration,” according to Kelly Moreno, Chief Solutions Officer.

In her role as Career Coach at WSRCA, Rachel will collaborate closely with local school districts and community members to educate students on post-secondary career paths.

“I am honored to continue assisting our youth with the skills and confidence to shape their own futures. It is not just an investment in them, but also in our communities and the world,” stated Sotelo.
