WSRCA Texas Mutual Grant

CEDAR PARK, Texas – Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area (WSRCA) is honored to be selected as one of 58 nonprofit organizations statewide to receive grant funding from Texas Mutual Insurance Company’s 2025 workforce development and safety training initiative. Texas Mutual awarded more than $4.4 million in grants to nonprofits focused on building a stronger, safer, and more resilient Texas workforce.

WSRCA received a $100,000 grant to support its ongoing efforts to deliver high quality workforce development, upskilling, and safety training programs that prepare job seekers for in demand middle skill careers and help employers maintain safe and productive workplaces across the nine county Rural Capital Area region.

“Ensuring the safety of Texas workforce requires intentional investment and collaboration,” said Veronica Martinez, senior manager impact and community partnerships at Texas Mutual. “These nonprofits are equipping people with the skills that will create lasting change in our workforce, and we are proud to help accelerate their impact across the state.”

Texas Mutual’s support helps advance priority initiatives that train the current and future workforce in safe work practices, expand pathways into high demand fields, and increase access to earn and learn opportunities for adult learners. Texas Mutual conducted a comprehensive statewide review before selecting recipients based on program strength, community impact, and alignment with the organization’s commitment to strengthening the Texas economy.

WSRCA CEO Paul Fletcher expressed appreciation for Texas Mutual’s continued commitment to workforce development across Central Texas.

“Texas Mutual’s investment helps working families gain skills that improve career mobility and economic stability,” Fletcher said. “We are grateful for their partnership in building a resilient workforce and supporting local employers with the talent and safety training they need to grow.”

This award is part of Texas Mutual’s broader RFP initiative, which has provided more than $9 million in funding to nonprofits this year to support generational learning, workforce development, and community resilience.
