CEDAR PARK, Texas – Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area (WSRCA) has been named a finalist for Business of the Year by the Round Rock Chamber, recognizing the organization's commitment to strengthening the regional economy, supporting local businesses and connecting Central Texans with meaningful career opportunities.

The recognition is part of the Chamber's 59th Annual Business Awards, which celebrate businesses, organizations and community leaders helping shape Round Rock's future. WSRCA joins A+ Federal Credit Union and Mark IV as finalists in the Business of the Year category.

"Being recognized alongside organizations that do so much for our community is a tremendous honor," said Paul Fletcher, CEO of WSRCA. "Our success is built on partnerships with the businesses, educators and community leaders who share our commitment to creating opportunities. This recognition reflects the dedication of our entire team and the employers and partners we have the privilege of serving every day."

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the certified regional workforce development board serving Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee, Llano and Williamson counties, WSRCA plays a vital role in supporting Round Rock's businesses, residents and economic growth.

The organization operates its largest workforce center in Round Rock, connecting residents with career counseling, job search assistance, skills training and employment opportunities. The center also serves as a resource for local employers, providing recruitment assistance, hiring events, workforce training solutions and access to qualified talent.

Beyond employment services, WSRCA helps working families access child care assistance, partners with schools and training providers to prepare the next generation of workers and collaborates with employers to build career pathways in high-demand industries. These efforts help residents advance their careers while giving Round Rock businesses the talent and resources they need to grow.

WSRCA also supports the region's expanding advanced manufacturing and technology sectors through industry partnerships, registered apprenticeships and hands-on training opportunities that prepare local talent for emerging careers.

The recognition comes as WSRCA prepares to celebrate 40 years of workforce leadership in Central Texas in 2027, marking four decades of helping communities respond to changing industries, workforce demands and economic opportunities.

"This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the work our team puts in every day to serve this community," said Diane Cook, Chief Operating Officer of WSRCA. "Behind every successful job placement, business partnership or family receiving assistance are dedicated professionals working to make a difference. I'm incredibly proud of our team's commitment to delivering services that help Round Rock residents and businesses succeed."

Winners will be announced January 28, 2027, during the Round Rock Chamber's 59th Annual Business Awards celebration at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock.
