Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area (WSRCA), in partnership with the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, brought together more than 150 job seekers and over 30 employers at today's Georgetown Job Fair, creating meaningful connections that support both local talent and the continued growth of Georgetown's business community.
Connecting Talent with Opportunity
The event brought together employers from a wide range of industries, all actively hiring and eager to meet candidates ready to take the next step in their careers. Attendees had the opportunity to explore open positions, connect directly with hiring managers, and learn more about career pathways available throughout the region.
With open positions spanning healthcare, manufacturing, skilled trades, education, public service, retail, technology, and more, job seekers were able to discover a variety of career options all under one roof.
More Than a Traditional Job Fair
WSRCA job fairs are designed to support job seekers wherever they are in their career journey. Beyond meeting with employers, attendees can connect with workforce professionals, training and education providers, and community organizations that offer resources to help individuals gain new skills, overcome employment barriers, and achieve long-term career success.
This supportive environment ensures that whether someone is looking for their first job, changing careers, re-entering the workforce, or seeking advancement opportunities, they can access the guidance and resources needed to move forward with confidence.
Supporting Growth in Georgetown
The strong turnout reflects the continued growth and economic momentum of Georgetown, one of America's fastest-growing communities. As Georgetown continues to attract new residents, businesses, and investment, workforce connections like today's job fair help ensure employers can access qualified talent while residents can discover new opportunities close to home.
Georgetown's success is part of a larger story unfolding across the Rural Capital Area. Three of America's fastest-growing cities are located within the WSRCA service area, underscoring the importance of building a workforce ready to meet the demands of a rapidly expanding regional economy.
A Community Effort
Events like this demonstrate the power of partnership. When employers, workforce professionals, training providers, community organizations, and local leaders come together in one place, job seekers gain access to the support, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed.
WSRCA extends its sincere thanks to the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce for partnering on this successful event, as well as to every employer, training provider, community partner, and job seeker who participated. Together, we are helping build a stronger workforce and supporting the continued success of one of the most vibrant and rapidly growing communities in the Rural Capital Area.
Looking Ahead
WSRCA remains committed to connecting employers with talent and helping residents access meaningful employment opportunities. We look forward to continuing this work through future hiring events, workforce programs, and community partnerships across the Rural Capital Area.
