Happy Hispanic Heritage Month

September 15th-October 15th is Hispanic Heritage Month!

The contributions from Hispanic Americans are endless and this month is about celebrating all that Hispanic leaders have done to inspire others.

Celebrating identity is a critical part of supporting your child’s development. You can nurture your child’s understanding of their identity and the identity of others through books, toys, play, and cultural experiences.

Ways to celebrate with your child:

  • Read books
  • Watch movies
  • Try traditional foods
  • Attend community events
  • Talk about history and historical leaders

These books, recommended by PBS kids, are a great place to start:
