Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area (WSRCA) is proud to celebrate a remarkable achievement by one of our close partners and collaborators, Isaac Marquez-Diaz, Veteran Employer Liaison with the Texas Veterans Commission.

Based at the Workforce Solutions of Williamson County office in Round Rock, Isaac supports and coaches veterans across the region, helping them navigate the path to meaningful, sustainable employment. As a veteran himself, he brings a deep understanding of the transition from military service to civilian careers and a personal commitment to helping others succeed.

That lived experience matters. Veterans bring discipline, leadership, adaptability, and a strong sense of purpose to the workforce. When veterans are supported by those who understand their journey, the impact is even greater. Isaac represents the very best of that connection, veterans serving veterans, building trust, and opening doors that change lives.

Isaac has been named the 2026 Local Veterans Employment Representative (LVER) of the Year by The American Legion’s Veterans Employment & Education Commission, a national recognition that reflects not only individual excellence, but the real impact of connecting veterans to meaningful careers.

He will be formally honored at The American Legion’s 107th National Convention in Louisville, Kentucky later this summer.

Turning Data Into Opportunity

Behind every award are the outcomes that truly matter. Over the past year, Isaac’s work has delivered measurable results:

  • 60% Employer Effectiveness Ratio
  • 93 quality referrals and job developments
  • 116 employer outreaches
  • 5 employer events and 5 partner trainings
  • 4 employer recognitions
  • 12 case conferences

But the numbers only tell part of the story.

Each connection represents a veteran gaining access to opportunity, and an employer strengthening their workforce with skilled, disciplined talent. This is the work that moves communities forward and strengthens our regional economy.

A Trusted Partner

At WSRCA, we’ve had the privilege of working closely with Isaac and witnessing this impact firsthand.

He brings a steady presence, genuine care, and a deep sense of purpose to his work. Whether supporting veterans one-on-one or engaging employers across the region, he builds meaningful connections that lead to lasting opportunity.

His work reflects integrity, trust, and an unwavering commitment to service. He’s not just helping veterans find jobs. He’s empowering his fellow servicemembers to move forward with confidence, stability, and a renewed sense of possibility.

Strong Partnerships, Stronger Outcomes

This recognition also reflects the strength of our broader veteran services network. WSRCA is proud to work alongside the Texas Veterans Commission and the Texas Veterans Leadership Program through the Texas Workforce Commission, as well as dedicated staff across our centers who serve veterans every day.

Together, this system ensures veterans are not navigating the workforce alone. It brings together expertise, trust, and coordinated support to meet veterans where they are and help them move forward.

We're proud of our entire veteran services team and the partners who make this work possible. Their shared commitment creates real opportunity and lasting impact across our region.

Veterans are a vital part of our workforce. When they succeed, our employers gain strong talent, our economy grows, and our communities are stronger.

A Well-Deserved Honor

This recognition is well earned.

It reflects the kind of work that defines strong public workforce systems, work that is consistent, collaborative, and centered on people.

Congratulations, Isaac. WSRCA is proud to work alongside you and grateful for the impact you make across Central Texas.
