It was a day focused on the future of Llano County.

Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area (WSRCA) joined local employers, community partners, education leaders and elected officials Thursday for a Llano County Workforce Alignment Meeting at the Llano Library, bringing together voices from across the community to discuss local workforce needs, opportunities and priorities.

Later that day, the celebration moved to 1500 Ford Street in Llano, where WSRCA officially opened the new, expanded Workforce Solutions of Llano County Workforce Center with a grand opening and ribbon cutting.

Together, the two events reflected an important part of how workforce development happens: listening to the community, bringing partners together and turning those conversations into resources and opportunities for the people and employers we serve.

Starting With the Conversation

The day began at the Llano Library with the Llano County Workforce Alignment Meeting.

The meeting provided an opportunity for employers, community leaders, educators, economic development partners and other stakeholders to share what they're seeing across Llano County and discuss how workforce partners can better respond.

These conversations matter because workforce needs don't exist in isolation. Employers need skilled workers. Residents need access to career opportunities and training. Educators and training providers need to understand where demand is growing. Community leaders need partners who can help connect those pieces.

As the workforce development board serving Llano County and eight other counties across the Rural Capital Area, WSRCA helps make those connections.

But alignment also starts with listening. Hearing directly from the people who know Llano County helps us better understand where needs are changing, where opportunities are emerging and how our resources and partnerships can have the greatest impact.

From Alignment to Action

Later that day, community members gathered at the new Workforce Solutions of Llano County Workforce Center, 1500 Ford Street, Llano, TX 78643, to celebrate its grand opening and ribbon cutting.

The expanded location represents WSRCA's continued investment in providing workforce resources that are accessible and responsive to the needs of Llano County.

For job seekers, the center offers a local place to explore career opportunities, connect with employers, receive job-search assistance, learn about training opportunities and access additional workforce resources.

For employers, the center provides a workforce partner close to home, connecting businesses with recruiting assistance, labor market information, workforce programs and other solutions that can help them find, develop and retain talent.

And importantly, the expanded center gives us room to grow alongside the community.

Additional space provides the opportunity to host future training, workshops, employer activities and other workforce programs right here in Llano County. As local workforce needs evolve, the center gives WSRCA and our partners greater flexibility to bring solutions directly to the community.

Celebrating the Partners Who Make It Possible

We were proud to share the day with so many of the people who make this work possible.

A special thank you to Llano County Judge Rob T. Hardy and Tony Guidroz, Administrator for the Llano Texas Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center and Community Development Director/Main Street Manager for the City of Llano, for taking part in the day's events and for their continued leadership and commitment to the community.

We also extend our sincere thanks to all of the elected officials, employers, community organizations, education partners, economic development leaders and stakeholders who joined us for the Workforce Alignment Meeting and later helped us celebrate the opening of our new center.

A workforce center is much more than a building. Its value comes from the people who walk through its doors and the network of partners working together around it.

More Than a New Address

We're proud to call 1500 Ford Street our new home in Llano County, but this investment is about much more than a new address.

It's about having a place where someone can discover a new career path. Where an employer can find help building its workforce. Where residents can connect with training and resources. Where partners can come together around local challenges. And where new opportunities can be brought directly into the community.

The ribbon has been cut, but the work happening inside is just getting started.

WSRCA looks forward to building on the conversations started at the Llano Library and continuing to work alongside Llano County's employers, leaders and community partners to connect people with opportunity and strengthen the workforce behind the community's future.
