Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area Welcomes Sarah Ruddy - Chief Business Development Officer

CEDAR PARK, Texas ⎯ Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area (WSRCA), the nonprofit community partnership delivering innovative and sustainable workforce development solutions to empower the nine-county Rural Capital Area of Central Texas, is pleased to announce WSRCA’s first Chief Business Development Officer.

As the Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO), Sarah will provide guidance, insight and create WSRCA’s workforce development strategy for the semiconductor industry.

“As our employer needs are changing rapidly in our region, Sarah will bring business development and workforce acumen to this role,” stated WSRCA CEO Paul Fletcher. “She will help WSRCA expand our resources and develop strategies to meet the needs of our region.”

Sarah is a native Austinite who has lived in Boston, MA for the past 12 years, building a career in workforce development. Sarah has held leadership roles in for-profit and non-profit organizations alike. In her most recent role as Senior Director of Business Development at JVS Boston, she interfaced with business leaders, governmental representatives, foundations, community-based organizations, and job seekers to ensure that new workforce programs exceeded market expectations, were well-funded, and met job seekers' needs. Sarah holds a Master of Social Work from Boston College and a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin.

“I love workforce development because it sits at the intersection of economic growth and social wellness. I'm eager to bring my skills, experience, and passion to the dedicated team at Workforce Solutions Rural Capital as we serve job seekers and employers in my home state,” stated Ruddy.
